What drives
Fondy Food Pantry

At Fondy Food Pantry, we believe everyone deserves access to healthy, nourishing food, and that no one should have to face hunger alone. Our mission, vision, and values shape how we welcome guests, engage volunteers, and build partnerships. These are not just statements, they’re the foundation of how we serve our community with compassion, consistency, and respect.

Our Guiding Principles

MISSON

Providing supplemental, nutritious food choices for individuals and families in Fond du Lac County.

VISION

A hunger-free community.

VALUES

FOOD AS A RIGHT

Nutritious food isn’t a luxury. It’s a basic human need and we’re here to make sure it’s met.

INCLUSIVITY

We welcome everyone. No matter your story, there’s a place for you here.

COMPASSION

We lead with empathy and understanding. Everyone who walks through our doors is treated with care.

RESPECT

We believe in treating all people with dignity, fairness, and honesty.

KINDNESS

A smile, a kind word, a helpful gesture, it all adds up to a pantry that feels like a community.

HOPE

We work to build stability, restore confidence, and offer a path forward, one meal at a time.

STEWARDSHIP

We make smart use of every dollar, every donation, and every volunteer hour.

Our History

1973

Fondy Food Pantry was founded in 1973 by members of Church of Our Saviour who saw a growing need for food assistance in the Fond du Lac area. For more than 35 years, the pantry operated as an emergency boxed food program from the church basement until flooding in 2008 forced a move. After temporary housing at St. Joseph’s Church, the pantry relocated to St. Paul’s Cathedral’s Ambrose Hall, where it expanded services and launched the Food for Thought program for students facing weekend hunger.

Our History

2018

A major milestone came in 2018 when the pantry moved to its current location on Rolling Meadows Drive, the former St. Vincent de Paul building. With this move came the transformation to a walk-in, choice-style pantry offering fresh produce, meat, dairy, and a Kids’ Mart where children could shop for their own food. The new space allowed FFP to serve more households with greater variety and dignity.

Our History

2020-2022

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the pantry quickly adapted by launching a drive-thru distribution model and starting a home delivery service for homebound individuals. In 2022, FFP added the Homeless Box program in partnership with St. Vincent de Paul to address the growing needs of unhoused community members.

Our History

today

Today, Fondy Food Pantry supports thousands of individuals across Fond du Lac County, powered by more than 200 volunteers and strong community partnerships. With continued growth and commitment, we remain focused on expanding access to nutritious food for all.
